Pros

It's amazing how many people have posted negative responses to this company for things that I can't imagine any retail company would let you do. VS gives a great associate discount, extra discounts for the holidays, a ridiculous amount of free stuff and $15 bras...The managers at this branch are fantastic and do let your know when you're doing a good job. I'm sure that, as in all retail jobs, experience varies location to location, but this is a GREAT location! There is pressure to sell credit cards but you learn your own limits and some people are just not gonna be as pushy as others...and ultimately this store's not gonna fire you just because you haven't sold enough credit cards. There are many other things that make you a great employee, and they recognize those too.

Cons

Random days are blacked out so that you can't ask for them off, which can be kind of terrible and annoying, especially since employees aren't told about them in advance. Call-ins are awful, but my last job had them too so maybe I've just gotten used to it.

Pros

Lots of room for advancement Benefits for management very good, four weeks vacation for store managers Great discounts, free merchandise almost monthly

Cons

It can differ from store to store, I worked for one during college that I really enjoyed, and transferred to another when I moved back home. The new one was awful. The pressure to sell credit cards was intense, and the respect for needing a weekend off every once in awhile was not there. The company is great if you are a full time employee, awful if you are just an associate or lower level management.

Pros

VS provides flexible schedules and works very hard to keep employees recognized for their good work. The management is available and friendly at all levels.

Cons

No chance for advancement besides titles. The wait for even the smallest promotion is so backlogged from downsizing that any monetary advancement is highly doubtful.
