Pros

It's a really good way to get to learn the industry, if you have never been in the industry, Videology gives you the chance to learn it. It doesn't matter what you did before, this company will give you a chance if you are excited and smart.

Cons

While the high paced environment is part of the industry, I believe it's important to make sure the employees are happy and feel encouraged. Many times, people feel discouraged because there is a lack of real hands on support from management. Sudden layoffs seem to be a thing lately, which is both unprofessional and defeats the motto that Videology is a family.

Thank you very much for your candid feedback. We’re happy to hear about your satisfaction with your learning experience at Videology! We have some fantastic industry experts who are excellent at teaching others what they know – whether through informal mentoring or our formal onboarding and training programs. We certainly do aim to hire the best and the brightest in the business, regardless of their previous experience – and want to make sure we are providing them with the knowledge needed to succeed in a highly complex, often times confusing industry! However, we are sorry to hear that you have not had a completely positive experience with Videology. As a growing business, we have worked to ensure all staff members understand our company’s vision, key priorities, and the employee’s role in meeting our goals. And as with most organizations, we’ve had to pivot - all to ensure we’re ahead of the curve to anticipate and meet the needs of the industry in which we work. Our employees are always our top priority; we are consistently focused on measuring engagement and driving programs that focus on growth, recognition, and satisfaction. We do appreciate your feedback and will remain steadfast in providing a fantastic work environment, endless opportunities, and transparency to our employees. Best of luck in your future endeavors!

Pros

-Great group of people, very friendly and overall ton of talented individuals. -A very promising future for the company, with tons of growth potential. -Pretty good work/life balance, much improved from the early days (which were more stressful, yet also more exciting). -Decent pay for Baltimore, not compared to bigger cities. -Real opportunity for creative input at any level. Honest dialogue is capable for any position, even from the most junior level to the executive level. Good ideas are valued. -There is a much better sense of focus now, compared to a year or two ago. The company goals are clear and organized.

Cons

-Not always the most efficient org structure. Sometimes there are two (or more) leaders with nearly the same responsibility, it can create "who is running the show" confusion. -Not always clear senior management knows who the smart people are. There are some professional BSers, which is fine for sales, but obnoxious for roles where you expect someone to do real work and contribute. -Not a lot of opportunity for promotion, unless someone leaves. Not surprisingly, several talented people have left or are considering leaving. Threatening to leave seems to be the best way to move up the ladder or get a raise. -The advertising industry is not exactly life fulfilling, though the technology side is industry-leading. -Most of the stuff that is annoying, e.g. office politics, exists at every company and is worse.

High pressure and low support

Pros

Good technology and good people.

Cons

The management was greedy. There was no support but there were huge expectations. It was a grind and the management was trying to flip the company, not build something great.
