Pros

Good company atmosphere, solid people and company culture. But everyone on business seems more serious than people in product and engineering. Business is upstairs and internal development is downstairs. They seem to have more fun downstairs

Cons

Transition into a medium sized company and its complexities and disorganizations

Thank you so much for your great review! We agree that Videology is a great company with a fantastic culture. We strive to employ the best and the brightest people who like to work hard to meet our company's key strategic priorities. Although we are a company with great expectations, we encourage a fun work atmosphere, too! In our Baltimore office, Nerf gun fights break out often on both floors...in between brainstorming and collaborative work sessions. You can also hear what we call a "buzz" throughout the office as people engage, laugh, and debate how best to solve a problem or request. A healthy mix of work and play is important to us, so we will certainly look into your feedback on how we can best engage all floors….all offices… all the time. There are definitely complexities that come along with the evolution of our company. What better way to be involved in the growth of Videology than having the opportunity to jump in and tackle these complexities and challenges head on? That's what many of our colleagues have stated as the best part of working for us: the opportunity to own their work, solve complex problems, and impact our company's success - with the help of some fantastic people. Thank you again for your candid feedback - we really appreciate it.

Pros

Videology has an upbeat office vibe. Most employees are young and eager. Office sponsored happy hours and office parties for new recruits. Not so much after you start. Keg in the office and nerf fights help keep things fun. Good compensation.

Cons

If you aren't a UVA grad or from ad.com good luck. You likely won't last long or get hired. Very fast paced with little direction from senior management. Plan to rely on coworkers for help.

Thank you very much for providing us with feedback on your intern experience! We do take pride in our company culture and have done a lot recently to focus on graduate recruitment as we understand our future is dependent on the capabilities of our people – our true assets! There were a couple of statements in your review that we wanted to address. Videology is made up of people from a wide variety of schools, experiences, and skill sets. If you’re talented and exhibit the capabilities we value most, where you’ve been doesn’t matter to us. Our intern recruiting program is growing and evolving and will incorporate more and more universities over time. We are very excited about our ongoing efforts to find the best talent out there! Regarding your commentary on our fast-paced environment: It’s true! In our industry, we ask our employees to take initiative and remain flexible as we continue to evolve our business model. It takes a true go-getter, self-motivated person to thrive here. Management is here to coach, champion employee ideas and guide them to drive our company’s mission. We do work in a highly collaborative environment, which requires strong communication and relationship management. For interns, we’re hoping we see in you that same go-get-it-ness it takes to succeed at Videology! Thank you again for your feedback. We will definitely continue to focus on the helpful advice you have provided!

Pros

Great start-up culture, nice people, and dynamic founder Scott Ferber.

Cons

Growing pains of transitioning from start-up to mid-sized corp, management shuffles and confusion, disjointed efforts during transitions.
