Poor management on many levels

Pros

Great work supporting clients in the community. Supportive when personal things come up in employees lives. Some great teammates.

Cons

Management, especially upper level operations management, is not great. There’s often little transparency regarding things happening behind the scenes. Poor performing staff are often not held accountable, while staff meeting or exceeding performance standards are taken advantage of and pushed to work beyond limitations. Often seems to be due to fears that they will lose poor performing staff and be left understaffed, while in realistic this pushes away good staff and lets the poor performing or even downright lazy staff stick around and provide subpar services to clients.

Don’t work here

Pros

There aren’t any pros here.

Cons

Extremely stressful and toxic environment. “Transforming lives” really isn’t a priority. The company does not have a true mission. The atmosphere here is very corporate and cold. Benefits have worsened over the years. Nobody has your back. Expect to be micromanaged and don’t expect to get much training. Awful experience and can’t wait to get out. Upper management salaraies and six figures and direct cafe barely make minimum wage. You never get raises. Management is condescending and will often get HR involved to terminate employees. They make you pay for coffee as they say hot water is expensive.
