      First position out of graduate school guided my IT career until they laid me off

      Pros

      High profile and reputable client engagements, new hire bootcamp training, friendly coworkers, being located on Wall St, learning and skill improvement from senior management (if you meet the right ones), some brillant employees and managers, interaction with CEO and C-level suite if work in NYC office

      Cons

      lay offs if you're on the bench, difficult to get a hold of direct manager, politics, long waits on bench, no consistent training while on bench,

      Pros

      Smart employees, decent pay, decent in terms of opportunity but not great.

      Cons

      Lots of politics, leadership does not respect their employees. Growth and mentorship for junior level employees is lackluster. Not enough projects and typically, they staff the same resources on multiple projects. Lots of turnover and layoffs.

      Catered lunch every Monday Lots of fun parties and events Basketball Gym Flexible work schedule and work from home options Good benefits and perks

      Cons

      VirtusaPolaris bought Apparatus and most likely will offshore most or all of the work to India over time. Lots of good people have either been laid off or have quit. Small company is now a global company and is lost in the shuffle.
