Pros

-Some really kind people work at Volt -Flexible schedules -Fun events/parties/birthday celebrations

Cons

-There is no hope for growth or advancement here -They will talk a big game during your interview but it simply isn't true -The company is failing, the stock price is low, and they are selling parts of the company -The pay rate is terrible and they keep you at that rate by giving you hope for a promotion that will never come

Pros

There are a few really wonderful people that work at Volt. I worked for them for 10 years the first time and 8 years the second time. The first time was a great work experience. The second time, not so much.

Cons

No room for advancement in my job. I had the worst manager I have ever worked for which made my 8 years there pretty miserable. I was never given an opportunity to lead the team in any way, even though they all came to me for help. The expectations for the job were in some respects ridiculous because it was subjective in terms of additional information required for proposals. I used to love Volt, but, my last few years the company was steadily going down hill. Costs were cut so tight that we only received 2% increases every other year. Nothing was done to appreciate employees except a picnic in the parking lot and Christmas lunch in the lobby. Pretty sad.
