At the corporate office your culture was dependent upon your department. They are extremely strict. You can not have food or drinks at your desk or photos or anything personal. They treat you like a machine rather than a person. They are very stepford wives. It is so miserable going to work every day. The company is extremely sexist making women wear pantyhose and not allowing men to work in women's departments- but women can work in mens? The whole company is just so messed up it's honestly sad. Also Davenport is miserable. There is nothing to do there if you're young and don't have children.

Management is two-faced and rude, they don't care about any of the employees. They haven't got a clue how to treat people or manage and is evident by the large turnover even by retail standards.They close at 4pm on Christmas Eve but make you work 6 days the 2wks prior to get it. If you have OT on a week you work Sunday, they take the OT out if the Sunday time and a half...that's right VM employees...look at your pay stub!! Or ask one of the Floor Managers and have fun while you listen to them try to explain...but, most likely you'll here that oh so common line they always give when you ask any question..."I'll look into it and get back to you" because they either and most common, don't know the answer to your question, want to tak about it and you to the other FMgrs or the really don't have the authority to answer/handle your question.
