Pros

Structured, we joke and say "Theres no having Fun at Von Maur".... The insurance is very good. Sunday is time and a half. We keep mall hours. You get 1 weekend off every month. You only work 2 nights a week.

Cons

Unless you are a favorite you may not get moved up. Full time means 32-36 hours. never hit 40.

Managers not always very helpful/kind. Some departments are favored by managers over others.

Pros

Autonomy, opportunity, you definitely get out of the experience what you put into it. Having a stock/housekeeping staff is a luxury.

Cons

I cannot think of any. People who bellyache about dress code, schedules, and the like have NO idea what the world of retail is really like. Von Maur is like a trip to Disney World compared to almost all other retailers.
