I started work for Von Maur because I was under the impression that it would treat its employees right and fairly. That turned out to be an erroneous assumption on my part.

Cons

Von Maur has lousy and absurd management. It is not a good place to work unless a person wants to feel unappreciated and even degraded.

Pros

Clean work environment(bathrooms are very clean) Good communication and will work around a heavy school schedule. Great opportunities for advancement. Time and a half on Sundays Great store hours in compared to other retail stores.

Cons

Multiple managers alert you on company policies can tend to get repetitive. Working weekends is required of the job only get 1 weekend off a month and two Sundays.
