Pros
You get to be by yourself after 3:30 washing all the meat cutting equipment and tables. Some of your coworkers are good. You get put cold cuts on the shelf and frozen seafood like shrimp. Customers were patient compared to when bagging groceries for them. Had a cool wrapping machine to use.
Cons
Heavy manual labor lifting frozen food and metal parts. Very cold and very wet. Heavy bleach usage at end of day. Not really working with meat that much, just doing clean up. Large workload. Publicly reprimanded several times in front of customers even. Very little training and very little room for growth. Very repetitive. The management liked to consider themselves "old school", so you know it's bad. It was not a nice place to work. There's very little than can transfer over to other jobs. Even when you try to go above and beyond it will still be the wrong. Everything is counter intuitive, and you literally have to ask in order to know anything. It was not a good experience, and I would definitely not do it again.
