Pros

For the most part good people. Like most jobs it is what you make of it. Germans are generally good to work for at the lower level and mid level.

Cons

Low pay, easy to standout but hard to get recognized financially anyway.

High exceptions, poor training

Pros

Free coffee/tea, I guess. Most people can be nice.

Cons

You'll be mentioned on tiny thing (very briefly) when you start, then you'll never hear about it again - until 2 months later when you start getting questioned about it. And you get chewed out for not knowing what in the world they are talking about. The people who are responsible for the training need to have better people skills, it's not very good when they get visibly angry when you ask them to repeat themselves.

Pros

The company is always continually developing its technology and the proprietary software solutions for the many logistic components it offers. In thise case working for the company in a technical standpoint will allow you to learn a wide array of automated logistic equipment. The company does offer comprehensive health insurance and profit sharing if you stick around. I do have to say the company does also out-do themselves when hosting employee banquets.

Cons

There has been a lot of change as of late in company culture and you notice it at every level. It isn’t the same company I know from when I first joined. It seems as if we lost touch of who we are as a family company and are simply becoming numbers. Likewise you are like to first receive profit sharing when you become vested in your 4th yr. All in all the company while remaining pioneers in their sector seem to be forgetting the foot soldiers and in this case I unfortunately see and foresee more good talented people leaving because it just isn‘t as attractive as it once was. This more so for the travelers who have the travel times also halved for overtime payouts.
