Pros

Comfortable work environment. Meeting new people. Easy to get hired. Employees are mostly young and just out of high school, so this gives them some experience.

Cons

No one stays for very long. Washington Federal employee relations spends all it's time on trying to fill the constant need for Customer Service Reps, because they leave so soon after hire, with very few staying more than a year. Not a good fit for anyone who wants to move up in a company, or for anyone looking for a satisfying long term position, especially in the CSR roles ! A lot of frustration and complaining among employees.

Pros

None, zero, ziltch, nada. You need 20 words but wafd does not deserve 20 word. That's all I have to say.

Cons

Upper management is unethical, arrogant and self centered. I worked my way up from from CSR I to Assistant branch manager. Upper management constantly makes knee jerk decisions that places higher work loads on the branches. My work load was insane! Example: I was promised training but was left to train myself as a lender. On top of this, i retained all my duties of my previous positions. Meaning, my loans were done from behind the teller line in between teller transactions, solving customer issues, managing the tellers, and all other duties in the bank. I did have an office but never once stepped inside it to work. For all your hard work you are left with the lowest pay in the industry!

All Give, No Take

Pros

My managers were pleasant to work with but often overstretched.

Cons

Recruiter claimed that senior management would look after their employees. This consisted of daily screaming sessions, forcing all employees to come in at 7:30 am for several months because a handful of employees had acted inappropriately, and a work atmosphere best described as hostile. No bonuses for back office staff over the past year, while front-line staff have received "record bonuses". Senior management belittle or ignore the concerns of team-facing managers. Shocking disparities in salaries between individuals in the same job role. Strong bias in favor of hiring individuals with a law enforcement background who lack basic Excel/Word skills or any knowledge of BSA/AML. Managers have to spend time they do not have to bring these individuals up to speed.
