      Pros

      The people are amazing. The leadership team cares not only about the fiscal health of the bank, but truly cares about people - both clients and team members.

      Cons

      I don't see any negatives to working here. Not that it's perfect, but it's pretty darn good. WAFD is investing in it's people and supporting their professional growth and development. I love the transparency and the access one has to all levels of management.

      Pros

      Great place to work. Treat employees very well. Company is just getting better and better. The new CEO might be the most approachable CEO in the country. I believe the CEO really cares and is going to continue to help WAFD improve. He listens to the middle management in the annual meetings. Oh they also own insurance agency’s. The President on the insurance side allows his staff to make decisions. He might be the best boss anyone could ever have.

      Cons

      I have to wait ten years to see how awesome we are going to be in ten years. I wish I had a glass ball so I could see where we are going to be. Pay for some employees is too low.

      Thank you for your post, I really appreciate it but I have breaking news. I am not that good and in fact have a lot of shortcomings. We have seen many times that hubris can lead to poor decision making so we want to constantly remind ourselves of the risks in our business. Thank you for your support, I look forward to our bright future together

      Given opportunities and responsibilities that would have taken me years to accomplish elsewhere

      Cons

      Some bureaucracy going on but you find that almost everywhere. The CFO seems to be highly against change.

Its funny that some people like you love the responsibility and view it as an opportunity and others see it as a burden.
