Pros

At wal-mart, it's pretty easy to advance and to pad your resume. The breaks and discounts are decent, and the company is very important to many employees that I know.

Cons

At wal-mart, your enjoyment of your job depends completely on your manager. The good ones make the job decent, and the bad ones make you wonder what criteria they use to become a manager.

Pros

This company has a strong background with a strong future. When you work for a store you feel like you are within a strong tight knit family.

Cons

The assistant position is highly stressful and you have the possibility to go on overnights which is not nice at all. The market team has no respect for you and make you feel like you are dirt on their shoe. If you use the "open door" like they suggest then it gets back to the management you are complaining about and they say there is no retaliation but this is hogwash.
