Pros

Actively hiring company with Disney perks, above average 401k plan and free snacks/drinks in the kitchen. Launching of Disney+ and ESPN+ are major priorities of the entire Disney organization, so a bright spotlight is on Disney Streaming offices

Cons

Lack of advancement opportunities, career development, raises, and communication from senior leadership. Notoriously known for paying employees well below market value while medical benefits are being updated to take more money out of paychecks. Heavy reliance on part-time employees who are deliberately kept to 28 hours a week in order to avoid providing them benefits. Even heavier reliance on "full time" employees who receive low hourly pay rather than a salary. Need to reach coordinator level in oder to reach full time/salaried employment status.

Pros

My direct management is incredible...brilliant, empathetic, reasonable, wants the best for everyone. The work is fulfilling and inspiring. The flexibility on my team is fantastic. No one is hounded or micromanaged as long as they get their work done. Everyone is made to feel welcome and accepted for who they are.

Cons

I've been part of 4 reorgs in 6 years. Between that and the various lay-offs, leadership at the top seems to do everything they can to keep things stressful. The recent back-to-office mandates are silly. Of the people I work with, everyone who goes into the office is just on Zoom all day, but in a noisier, more uncomfortable environment. Total nonsense. Tightening in budgets basically forces everyone to work more because we don't have the headcount we need. Everyone still needs to get the same amount of work done as we did with more teammates. Definitely worried people are going to burn out. Moving up the ladder is slooooooow. I've been assured of promotions so many times that either took years or haven't yet come. Increased workload certainly comes way before the title and salary changes catch up.

Pros

- Some great people who have good intent - good benefits -great entertainment options

Cons

Culture is very conservative, stuck in the 1950’s mind set, culture is not adaptable and too many gate keepers at the middle management /Director level who are resistant to change. - No succession career planning - no opportunity for growth in corporate technology
