Pros

Office is fairly modern and well equipped

Cons

There are many so I will list them as bullet points: -Employees that were allowed to be remote now have to go into the office three days a week despite promises that remote workers could stay remote -CEO and C level making millions while denying the rest of us pay raises even while they brag about increased revenue. -The employee rating system is artificially manipulated by upper management to prevent people from getting raises or being promoted. It's a 1 to 5 star rating that has caps on 5 and 4 star ratings, saved for people hand picked by management. The rest of the workers will get 2 star reviews despite excellent work practice, this lets Waters say they can't get promoted/get a raise. -Waters lays off Waters employees every year and replaces them with GCC contractors in India for 1/5th of the cost. These contractors are not Waters employees and they spam this site with false reviews. -HR denies fake reviews existing ("We have zero knowledge of fake reviews"). even though there are 50+ obviously false 4 and 5 star reviews with no merit. They are usually one sentence long and say absolutely nothing meaningful. Overall in my six years here it's just getting worse and worse for American employees. C suite salary and bonuses going up every year while they refuse to let us get raises and promotions, while making us train our GCC replacements throughout it all.

Pros

-Pay is okay -Benefits are okay -Work life balance is okay

Cons

-Waters has been consistently laying off American employees and contractors, then replacing them with cheap labor in India. This cheap labor is difficult to train, consistently misses targets, and overall has about 1 competent person for every 10 people. -Waters does not replace people that they fire or retire with talented new employees. Instead, they divvy the work out to other people with little to no training and expect it to get done to the same quality standard as the person who they fired or left. Some of those people had 10+ years of experience in that role, and cannot be replaced with cheap Indian labor or a hastily thrown together new "team" (that still has it's old responsibilities). -Management gloats about how well the new offices in India are doing in All Hands meetings, but behind closed doors everyone is in agreement that this new structure is unsustainable and contributing to an overall spiraling downward corporate experience. -Due to time zone differences, most of the Indian teams log off by 11am EST, and have little to no backup from 11am-5pm. -Instead of training employees thoroughly to prepare them for new responsibilities, workers are rushed into new work after a short briefing. This leads to disastrously bad releases, with more time being spent fixing badly done work than working on new goals.

Pros

Great people in teams who pull together. Great science and drive to develop exciting products

Cons

Pay is not good. Disconnect between Execs and those below is tangible right now. Not a pleasant environment and this is very sad given the great potential this company has.
