Pros

You can quit and work somewhere else that will respect you as a human being

Cons

I gave 13 years of my life to Waters as a scientific professional in a multitude of roles from product development, evaluation, manufacturing, and research. In that time I've had many bosses, witnessed hundreds of colleagues come and go, and 3 CEO transitioning. Nothing prepared me for the radicalization of the organization to align with the current trend of "woke politics." Jim Waters would be ashamed of what has become of the company that bears his name. Scientific integrity has been thrown out the window. Waters was once a leader in innovation and the spirit of good science and engineering. The company has decided it would rather focus on "diversity" and "inclusion", but there is no room for the inclusion of good science, or respect for the individual anymore. The company can't develop any new technologies so instead tries to rebrand itself as something its not. The final nail in the coffin was the company's decision to force vaccination on it's employees (despite current federal court rulings that such policies are unconstitutional). The new CEO is a fascist. This should surprise no one when you see his background. It's all about playing the current politics, and alignment with the radicalized political left.

Pros

The company has the capability to deliver industry leading technology to customers.

Cons

Under both CEO's of the past 5 years the company has added lot's of VP's and Senior Directors with minimal experience in the industry or their jobs. The company culture has changed from focusing on customer success to everyone in for themselves first, company and customer success second. In the most recent performance management cycle the blame for the bad results of the past five years was pushed down to the employee level, without any accountability by management for a lack leadership and coherent strategy execution. There is no doubt that significant change is required, but leadership seems to be incapable of leading productive change, pushing the organization into chaos and then blaming the employees.
