Pros

good stock, nice set of engineers. the engineers are the best. they do quick visa transfers to get the engineers quickly. they can pay market rate thats all. recruiters are very good and treat people nicely.

Cons

worst management in mobile. under qualified and less knowledgeable and political management in mobile team that only waits to get job done from senior employees. Once your work is done they terminate you. don't touch this company with a 10 foot pole. highly political; you only survive if you are underpaid.

Pros

Office location, employee discount, you learn a lot and are given a ton of responsibilities in a short period of time, company seems to care about social issues, employees get paid time off to vote

Cons

No work life balance. Leadership has no empathy. The review cycles create a toxic environment. Most people are overworked and underpaid. They hire ivy league MBA straight to senior manager roles with little work and seemingly no management experience while they make it extra hard for managers to get promoted internally. Most people managers have no prior people management experience; combined with having no empathy and soft skills to manage teams, they contribute to the toxic culture

Pros

-Snack wall in office -Lots of young people -Gym discount -Opportunities to learn and interact with a lot of different teams

Cons

Upon joining, Wayfair seems like a great place to work, but if you look more closely it is not what it seems. The company boasts a great company culture and caring for employees, but that is simply not true. Associate/Senior Associate employees are extremely underpaid compared to the market, and for the workload that they take on. Employees frequently ask leadership about providing raises, however, questions are frequently avoided or responded to with indirect and unhelpful answers. Employees are provided 6 paid holidays per year- which is hardly enough. PTO is also laughable and while everyone is entitled to their PTO, there is a feeling that management discourages employees from using it. Overall, management does not care about its employees, as much as they claim to. With COVID the workload has increased and employees are expected to work extremely long hours without appropriate compensation or additional time off. Additionally, management does not do a good job of preparing early-career employees with a direct path to career growth and will avoid opportunities to promote employees. Even if there is a promotion, prepare for an extremely low pay raise on top of the already low salary. Communication is also a huge pain point at this company. Wayfair has also delayed notice to employees about WFH during COVID to maintain in-office collaboration when realistically it is extremely inconvenient and an extreme health risk to bring employees back into the office in the fall. There are so many things wrong at this company, and unfortunately, free beer and snacks will not make up for them.
