Pros

Fast growth, smart branding campaigns, competitive compensation

Cons

High pressure. Just care about numbers not people. Cannot trust leadership. Execution into the hospital market is lacking. Seem to buy companies to just buy companies without having a long-term plan for integration. Leadership turnover/revolving door.

Thank you for the feedback. While Waystar is a fast-moving, high-performance organization, we truly want our team members to feel valued. We could not complete our mission of simplifying and unifying the revenue cycle without our talented team members. We are actively investing in all of our leaders to enable them to better engage our team members. We highly encourage leaders to listen to team members’ concerns and to have open and honest conversations, whenever possible. We’re sorry that you did not have a better experience as a part of the Waystar team. If you have any further suggestions or feedback, know that the People Operations department is always willing to lend a listening ear.

Pros

Leadership is highly focused on peer groups and team building outings. They allow you to learn at your own pace. Working from home two days a week is beneficial.

Cons

Benefit package is limited. There is no matched 401k contribution unless you have at least 5 years vested, then it is only half of up to 4%. Paid time off is accumulated at a rate of .625 hours per pay period. That includes sick and vacation time. Although you do get 8 holidays per year there is only one floating holiday per year, and one volunteer day that doesn't roll over to the next year. Leadership should not over complicate simple matters. Why would it be so difficult for someone who is a tram lead to accept a client request to speak with a supervisor? Training should include benefits and usefulness of upsell opportunities.

We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the culture and our focus on strong teams that we’ve worked so hard to build here at Waystar. Thank you for the feedback on the areas in which we can improve, those will be shared with the appropriate leaders to review and consider. Please note that our 401k vesting is over three years and a portion is vested every year, starting after year one.

We’re happy to hear you enjoy the culture your team has built (we imagine you’ve played an important part in that, too)! Having the right team around you can make even the toughest days rewarding ones. If you have ideas on how we can more efficiently care for our clients through improved tools or processes, please let your leader know. We would love to hear your ideas!
