Preach Family, but Toxic Workplace

Pros

Benefits are competitive with other tech companies Flexible PTO Challenging and fulfilling work Growing with M&As Have values that they frequently try to incorporate in their everyday

Cons

Heavily siloed They preach that Waystar is a "family", but everyone is only going to help themselves M&As technology is all very silo'd still and is a lot for people to become experts on Unreasonable timelines will be imposed upon you from time to time Culture for leadership is different than the culture for those under Director positions Have unreasonable expectations of workload, requesting that you manage a 100% bandwidth in everyday work, and then add projects onto that Managers are toxic and only care to make themselves look good, and will undermine employees to make that happen HR is referred to as the "people team," but do not let that fool you into thinking they are there to help you Will let go of employees with no warning and no genuine reason beyond dislike, and will not offer severance Opportunity for advancement is heavily dependent on the department you are in
