Great Place To Work

Pros

The IT department is at the leading edge in terms of software development. Fast paced development but not a whole lot of pressure is forced on you. Automated testing varies by team but a mature framework awaits anyone with the knowledge and desire to learn how to write tests in .Net using Selenium. There are two paths for QA, a SME path for manual testers and a QA Engineer path for those with some automated testing skills. Great place to work if work/life balance is important to you. The IT department allows one work from home day a week. PTO isn't great at first but improves tremendously with tenure. Employees receive some floating holidays too. 401k match is pretty good matching half up to 8% (12% total).

Cons

The health insurance is bad and way over-priced compared to other local employers. Chill out with the swag. Contributions toward a gym membership would have been nice.

Thanks for the kind review! We agree – there are a ton of smart and motivated people here helping to drive our mission forward. None of it is possible without the commitment of our Team Members – you included! Thank you for the feedback regarding benefits. Our commitment will continually be to seek out ways to improve our offerings – whether it be flexibility within the work day and new health and wellness initiatives – to review of compensation/benefits… and everything in between. Thanks again!

Pros

Waystar actually cares about what it's doing in the healthcare industry. As a company, the focus is on creating efficiencies in the revenue cycle for healthcare providers, and doing so in a high-integrity way. I have only experienced a positive work culture at Waystar, as I really feel the company is interested in the professional development of their employees and maintaining a healthy work/life balance.

Cons

As with any company growing at Waystar's pace, there will be adjustments in the workforce. This can mean increases or decreases in resources, which will always produce knee-jerk reactions from the folks it affects. This is the cost of working for a company as opposed to working for yourself.

We appreciate your thoughts and we will be sure to keep your feedback in mind as we continue to grow and continue our mission of simplifying and unifying the healthcare revenue cycle, so our clients and partners can focus on their goals, patients and communities. We know we can’t accomplish this without team members like you, so thank you for all that you do! – Susan
