      Communication from Management could use work

      Pros

      Working at Waystar was great, I felt seen, I learned a lot through the training programs they offer. I liked the hybrid situation where I would go into the office 3 times a week and work from home for 2 days. The work-life balance was a priority, even with appointments and other obligations during the work hours. Everyone was accommodating.

      Cons

      Things started to change about half way in while I was there. Management wasn't doing any team meetings, 1-on-1s, or collaboration. Things were slipping. I was getting burnt out because of no progression, even though I was looking for projects to do and was willing to help where needed.

      Decent place to work if you're mainstream

      Waystar is a pretty classic "boys club" - there are fewer opportunities for success & advancement for individuals outside the demographic parameters of existing leadership.
