Pros

Nothing any more. Everything previously listed here as positive has gone down hill. Owners sold majority to investors and no longer have a say. The original "culture" that existed is almost gone.

Cons

Pay across the board, raises recently capped at 3%, benefits are no longer competitive, inexperienced mid-level and high level managers, want a promotion? You have to be popular and in the "in-crowd", horrible building that is dirty, lack of bathrooms and lack of parking. WebPT is having an identity crises. Used to be a fun, laid back start up. Since the owners sold majority to investor, the company has slowly been losing what made it great. With every new incoming manager that has been picked by now majority investors, the new corporate feel grows. Monthly company stand ups are embarrassing and uncomfortable which usually involve previous majority owner/ founder crying, probably cause she can see her company crumbling. Almost all original employees have left or been let go cause the growing disorganization and horrible growing negative atmosphere.

WebPT Response

Thank you for your review of WebPT. We believe strongly that we offer a positive and rewarding work environment, as evidenced by our multiple Best Places to Work honors (many of which are based on anonymous employee surveys) and our employee loyalty (more than 100 of WebPTers have been with the company for more than three years, which is pretty impressive considering that the whole company only had 100 employees a few years ago). Furthermore, 38 employees have received promotions over the last year. These promotions have been based on open posting and interviewing processes. Over the past two years, we’ve added numerous benefits, like 401(k) matching, paid parental leave, the ability to bring your dog to work, gym discounts, company-contributed HSA plans, and extensive leadership training. Our efforts are far from over, though. We know we still have improvements to make—one of which is our building. Over the next year, we’ll be completing a top-to-bottom renovation and expansion. Regarding our fast growth, you’re correct: we’re growing very fast. We now have more than 10,000 customers and 65,000 users. That’s a lot of customers, and that’s why we’re investing in better tools, processes, training, and resources. But, all of those things take time and require processes. WebPT has always been an evolving company. And to ensure we provide the absolute best service to our growing number of customers, we’ve had to grow up a bit. But, we know our customers appreciate the changes we’ve made, as evidenced by our 99.3% Member retention rate. And we’re certain that most of employees appreciate the changes, too. We conducted an anonymous employee survey in March, and we’re proud to say that the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. In fact, our overall employee net promoter score is 51.8 (which is above average for a B2B software company), and some departments had perfect scores. We really appreciate your feedback, and we hope this response provides clarity on your concerns.

Pros

One of the few reasons I stick around is the competitive pay rate, the benefits, and the culture. I have never worked fro a company that allows you to be more of yourself than yourself knew you could be. They are constantly rocking the boat when it comes to community involvement. They make sure their employees are taken care of both in health and finances. I have held many positions with this background and have NEVER been paid such a great amount or been offered things like paid maternity and match on my 401k as steep as they do.

Cons

Promoting from within is not something they do as much as they preach of it. Most times internal applicants are beat out by external folks. Not so bad for the growth of the company, but goes against what they prided themselves on during my initial interview here. How is one to gain experience, without being given the chance to learn from that experience.

I absolutely love working for this company. Such a fun work environment and i dont absolutely dread going to work anymore like I have with previous jobs. The pay is great, benefits get better every year, and the culture is something else!

Cons
