Pros

There were no pros working here

Cons

1. The job is supposed to be in office, but half the team is strictly remote…while the other half has the rule enforced and their badges are monitored to check they’re scanned and coming in. 2. The excuse of the in office rule is “for collaboration” yet when we’re in office, every meeting is virtual. We are given two 15 min breaks and while on the clock the phone is so busy all day there is no time for socializing. 3. The activities that Wellsky provides to boost work morale for employees, the support staff never got to enjoy. Food trucks were cool, if you were able to fit in your break to get it and get back in time. Managers wouldn’t close the queues long enough for the team to even really reap the benefit of the food trucks. 4. You were micromanaged constantly. I took A call once and was handling a case and my after call time was 7 minutes, I had My upper manager message me to get back on the phones. 5. New staff don’t have proper training and support to really understand this outdated system. It took me 2 months to start to grasp the system. Every call was someone complaining that the system updates are outdated or do not make sense and we were the shield and scapegoat for everyone to be upset with. 6. Upper management disengaged and indifferent to support staffs needs

Pros

Remote work, although with them needing a certain occupancy because of the new HQ building, there is less and less remote work. Decent compensation People on my team were amazing reps to work with.

Cons

When I left, I honestly couldn't tell you one person, well maybe one, who was happy on my team at WellSky Let me try and give some context for my 8 years there. When I started in 2014, my wife and I just had our first child, and the VP of sales sent us an expensive baby blanket, despite never having met me. It lit a fire under me like never before to go out and kill it for this company because it showed me they valued me. Cut to 2023, my supervisor told me I should not leave my house during my lunch breaks and avoid non WellSky related activities between the hours of 8-5. Every company is a growth company, but WS has now gotten to a point where it values its revenue over its people. A fellow sales rep of mine had to go to the ER for a blood clot in his foot, not being able to answer multiple teams questions about a deal, he was later told "I don't' care if you get hit by a bus tomorrow, I need that deal in". Current leadership has almost zero product or industry knowledge, hence provides no positive support during the sales process. Everything there is negative and critical. Despite having a dedicated lead gen rep, I generated 80% of my own pipeline worth almost 2 million in ARR, and hardly a word was said to me. They essentially act as hammers and pipeline managers, that's about it. I had tons of good leadership over my time there, they knew how to uplift and motivate a team and make you feel like you mattered and what you sold mattered. There is zero of that anymore. Leadership also plays obvious favorites with sales reps, making up the rules with territories and who gets inbound leads based on current performance and ignoring assigned territories. Can make it very hard to hit a quota when you leads are given away. Inviting the same few to all major conferences over and over, never giving you a chance to create relationships with your own prospects in person. The favoritism got very old, and very insulting after a while as a long time employee. You can expect teams messages for deal updates at 7 am or 8 pm, so there's your work/life balance.
