Lack of work/home balance
Lack of compassion from upper management
Upper management did not bother learning my name, due to turnover being so high.
The job role was so big, that one person could not possibly handle all of the tasks immediately after being hired, which seemed to anger upper management.
Coworkers were afraid to make mistakes, in fear of petty retaliation against them. There is no "job safety" to fall back on either. Employees that have worked there for over 10 years are constantly in fear of their jobs, and fear of angering upper management.
Once you make a mistake, upper management sees you as incompetent, rather than try to teach you, they instead make you feel miserable until you leave.
You will be micromanaged by upper management, to the point of not being allowed to have your own ideas or opinions, without being disciplined. I recall re-doing the same assignment 14-15 times in one day, just for upper management to decide they liked the first copy.
I would honestly not recommend to anyone, until management of the marketing department is changed. The family owned company has family in the major management positions, and unfortunately going to HR was not an option, due to the chain of command.
Do not apply unless you like mental abuse, hives and anxiety. There are other jobs that pay similar, and will not require anti-depressants after a few weeks.
