Middle school environment promoted with lots of favoritism. Poor work life balance partly due to the nature of job and partly short staff. Impossible to transfer and then impossible to get back in when desired job opening becomes available.

Understaffed 92% of the time. Most of the time, a heavy patient load for a step-down ICU because ICU RNs had their hands full with their own heavy patient loads and admissions as well. Back breaking work for too little compensation. Forget about calling the Hardstick(Phlebotomy) team for a critical pt's morning labs, they will never show. There is no retention policy, it's a joke! RNs are spread too thin.
