I would not suggest this company to anyone.

Cons

There are limited opportunities for promotions. Insurance is not very good.

Pros

Good place to learn new skills, flexible with education schedules, management is caring and understanding (but perhaps puts stock into hearsay rather than quality of work.)

Cons

Real cruel mentality at lower levels, sadly some RNs tolerate or participate as well. This is tolerated even when a patient is “judged,” openly laughed at or mocked. Some floors thrive on targeting and tearing down. The “shortcut,” lazy and openly judgmental employees are even training new staff. I researched at one point and it has a name: “toxic work environment.” Worse still is that it is tolerated even when documented and reported to HR. That can be debilitating to a newbie, continually scrutinized, accused , small mistakes become elaborate paparazzi style blown up character killers, so much NEGATIVE GOSSIP! I’d never be a patient after working there for almost 2 years, and I hate to say that.

Pros

There are some very dedicated, highly trained staff who work there. Offers a large amount of education and certifications.

Cons

From the C-suite up, money is the priority. Of it means people's lives and patient safety, money is still their priority. Severe retaliation from the Executive VP, Chatman, down the ladder if any safety concerns are brought forward. They say it's "peoplecare" and say it's about safety, but it is all about hiding things and money. They do not care one lick about staff or patients. They only care about looking good in the community and cutting corners. It wasn't like this before Chatman. I mean cutting corners, yes, but hiding safety issues instead of fixing them, no. As long as she is there, there is no hope for a just culture. And now that they are being investigated by the Department of Justice for red lining and race discrimination, I'm sure she will be promoted into Candice Saunders CEO/president position. It's sad. God bless the people who care and still work there.
