Pros
Full time, benefits, paid breaks, guaranteed hours, usually consistent scheduling, paid vacation time. Often I am the only manager in the store and mostly free reign over the crew ( cameras are installed in all of the stores in my area)
Cons
As a mid- level manager you deal with the same drama, baloney/ bs, and childish behavior you would find at most fast food places. Benefits have been stripped over the last year (we are franchise and with a new owner come new rules, restrictions/ regulations), we have lost being salaried, sick leave/ pay. There are far too often too few managers to go around and it is not uncommon to see 5-6 different assistant managers come and go in a year. That just adds to other problems lack of consistency, problems having control/ authority over the crew, and credibility with your boss. Crew turnover is often high, and training should be more extensive than it is.
