Cons

Management doesn’t follow through in a timely fashion, a lot of turnover in the upper management.

Pros

The residents. That's it. Maybe some of the other employees, but not many.

Cons

Where to start? This company's management doesn't care about its employees. Nor do they truly care much about the residents. Abuse that is known to happen by management continues to happen because they do nothing. They only care about getting in more donations to use on what? Who knows. Wesley Acres needed to be updated for MANY years prior to the current remodel. They continuously take money allotted for improvements and use it elsewhere. And this is the flagship community. One would think that instead of building multiple other facilities, they'd focus one iota of attention on this one.

We're sorry that your experience as a WesleyLife team member was not as positive as we may have hoped. We're not perfect -- nor do we pretend to be. But we ARE transparent in all areas -- our day-to-day dealings as well as our major initiatives, such as the master planning that resulted in the redevelopment of Wesley on Grand, formerly Wesley Acres. We're gratified to have been named a Great Place to Work and a Fortune 100 Top 20 Workplace for the past several years, and team member surveys are a key component of those certifications. Our surveys consistently indicate that our team members feel gratified that we don't stand on ceremony here with regard to titles. Those who "wash the sheets, mop the floors, assist someone in the shower, and administer meds" are vitally important to our ability to do our work, and we are committed to letting EVERY team member know just how critical they are to our mission. As far as donations, I invite you to view our 2022 annual report on WesleyLife.org, which details the amount received and how it was allocated. We work to be fully transparent and are deeply grateful for the team members who ensure that donor requests are strictly honored in terms of where we invest and spend contributors' funds. For example, many donations help fund such WesleyLife services as our Wesley Wishes program, which fulfills end-of-life requests for those in WesleyLife Hospice care. We're grateful to our generous donors who help make amazing things possible for those we serve. Finally, if you witnessed behavior that you would consider abusive, we sincerely hope you brought it to your leader's attention, and/or that you reached out to our anonymous compliance hotline, which provides team members with a confidential means of reporting concerns. The hotline is maintained offsite by a third-party commercial provider, and the number is (866) 291-4301. We invite you to share your concerns there as well.

Pros

The Patients is what kept me going

Cons

Management and scheduling had no clue what they were doing and were very rude. Patients were always complaining that nobody was coming to help them or getting the care they were paying for.

Thank you for leaving a review. Even when feedback isn't positive, we view it as an opportunity to determine how we can improve. You didn't offer specifics about which of our communities or service lines you worked for; as you know, we have many, so it's not possible for us to respond to your concerns in a way that would bring about any kind of resolution. However, our Director of People and Culture would welcome the opportunity to speak with you to try to learn what might have gone wrong. If you would be willing, please reach out to her at dspain@wesleylife.org. For the past four years, WesleyLife has been designated a Great Place to Work(R); in addition, several of our communities have been rated five stars, the highest possible rating, by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We take seriously our responsibility and opportunity to provide positive experiences to our team members as well as our residents and clients. Are we perfect? Of course not. But enhancing a culture of growth, opportunity, and positivity is important to us, and we work hard to address issues when they're presented. I hope we'll have the chance to visit with you. Thanks again for leaving your review.
