Pros

Good people for the most part. Benefits were okay. Has good values. Talked well but walked like they had never practiced.

Cons

Milks tax credits for college grads in a borderline abusive way. Very college Greek Culture and the HQ feels like a community college campus. Doesn’t own the value of ‘quality over growth’ nor ‘meritocracy’. Sold 50% of the company to money hungry folks and has been a sharp down hill fall since. Laid off a lot of their diversity and talent without any merit consideration.

Pros

- Great people to work with. If you schedule time with someone, they will commit to it and try to be as helpful as possible. - Pay is good - Benefits are pretty standard - A company that mostly upholds the Unlimited PTO concept

Cons

- allowing bro culture & nepotism to thrive resulting in inequitable staffing of projects - leadership sends out too many surveys throughout the year to get "feedback" but all they do is lay people off and change nothing. This is just performative. - Prioritizing the optics of the growth of the company over retaining talent. West Monroe doesn't invest in talent long-term. I experienced two layoffs (6 months apart) in the 1 yr I was there and it can't just be blamed on the poor economy. I saw so many good, qualified people leave and be replaced by inexperienced talent. Now that inexperienced talent is left with no guidance - Getting involved in diversity and inclusion ERGs is a risk. It can put a target on your back. Approach with caution.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. The decision to reduce our staff was intended to help ensure our services and support teams align with current market demand, yet it is hard to say goodbye to talented colleagues who’ve been a part of West Monroe, and we greatly value their contributions to the firm. We appreciate you sharing more about your experience as feedback helps us improve moving forward.

Pros

The majority of the people you meet/work with are incredible Culture is dedicated to mentorship When finances are strong, it’s a very fun place to work Historically strong culture

Cons

Since the MSD acquisition, the top priority of the firm has shifted from its people to its bottom line When behind financial plan, budgets are constrained and people live in fear of layoffs, while being overworked and underpaid
