      Very intense-nerve wracking environment - Its a shame.

      Pros

      Pay is decent and I have met some great people. In my plant, the management team seems to be giving their all to make positive changes for the better. You can see that they really want to treat you like a human being. Getting your job threatened will no longer phase you because you will become numb to it pretty quickly.

      Cons

      The "captain of the ship" seems to be working against my boss and his fellow managers. These guys want positive change but are being belittled and humiliated on a daily basis and in front of the hourly employees and seem to be afraid to make any decisions anymore. It is apparent when captain walks out on the prod. floor - the managers literally cower. Machines are overbooked and that seems to be ok with the captain. You will be told a 5 day/week plant...say goodby to your family and friends, kid's birthdays etc...you will be scheduled to work.

      Pros

      Many of the people at lower levels in the organization are great to work with, but more of the good ones are leaving everyday.

      Cons

      Constant restructuring. Management says we have a differentiated value proposition but they don't put money or resources behind that, and maybe don't even really know what that means. Very male dominated culture with little room for advancement.
