Pros

Joining Western National is one of the best career moves that I've had the opportunity to make thus far. This is a company that cares about providing opportunities for employees to advance their careers as well as learn new skills alongside industry information. The people that you work with are friendly, dedicated, and fun (and makes the job that much better!). In addition, the variety of work that we get to see on our team is rare and allows each person to utilize their skills and strengths.

Cons

Western National is a rapidly growing company that has been operating as a smaller company for some time. The technology transformation and change management are a work in progress. However, there is momentum and strong leadership in these areas to finesse and help overcome these challenges.

At Western National, we encourage lifelong learning, skill development, and career exploration by providing our employees with resources, training, and opportunities that promote personal and professional growth. We’re pleased to read that you recognize and appreciate our efforts in this area. We are also happy to read that you value your co-workers. As you note, we have grown significantly in recent years. While we have made considerable effort to evaluate and update our systems and processes to create the best experience possible for our customers and employees, we are still experiencing some growing pains in certain areas. It is our hope in the next few years, our technology will be equipped to handle the challenges we face as an organization. We are always looking for feedback on areas in which we can improve. Pros

Nice office environment, A lot of support and mentoring from team. Work life balance is good.

Cons

Benefits aren't great. Very little opportunities for growth. Management will overwork you for little pay. After a year of working here, I found out I was being underpaid whereas the new UA's hired were making $6k more than me. There's also a lot of office drama that goes on so try to avoid that if you can.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We appreciate hearing your positive comments about the office environment, team support, and work-life balance, as we believe these are three elements that set Western National apart from our peers. Although we appreciate your positive comments, we are disheartened to hear your negative comments about your time working with us. In regard to your comment on wages, we assess our compensation package and internal equity continuously throughout the year to ensure our pay practices are fair and competitive. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which combined with yearly profit-sharing bonuses and other bonus incentives based on position, creates our total compensation package that our employees receive for their work. We also assess our benefit offerings on an annual basis to ensure that our benefits package remains competitive. We are interested to hear more about the lack of opportunities for growth and the office culture. If you are willing to share, please contact us directly at HRmail@wnins.com.
