Everyone is approachable, friendly, and willing to help, this includes senior leadership. I feel appreciated here.

Cons

No real downsides for me, however I wish the exercise studio was more of a legit gym.

We recognize the value that our employees bring to the organization, which is why we look for opportunities to show how much we appreciate them. Your comments about our employees being approachable, friendly, and willing to help are heartwarming to hear, as we believe that Western National employees are some of the best. Through our Wellbeing program, we do have an on-site fitness studio, which employees are free to use at their leisure. Every Tuesday, we partner with a local personal trainer who comes on-site to host a strength training class. Due to this, we aren’t able to have as robust of equipment as you would find at a traditional gym. However, we do offer a wide variety of equipment, including free weights, yoga equipment, and more. Western National cares about its employees. You feel like family here instead of just another face. Everybody is warm and welcoming and very inclusive of new hires. They do little things for you that make you feel appreciated like the monthly mingle, miniature golf, and they have food trucks come right to the building so that you can get a great lunch. The welcoming attitude starts at the top with the Sr. Mgmt. Can you name another company where within the first couple weeks you will meet the CEO of the company and sit and chat over coffee? The hybrid work schedule where you can work at home part of the week is great when the weather turns nasty in the winter. Theya re very quick to make sure that their employees are not risking themselves to get to the office if they could do their job from home. As a bonus, the pay and benefits are great also.

Cons

Sometimes getting from the Eastern side of the Metro area to the office can be trying as the traffic can be is heavy.
