Pros

Overall, a positive and supportive atmosphere. Culture diversity is the company's best asset. The company has a very generous charity (WU Foundation) that matches, doubles, and sometimes triples employee's contributions to fund a variety of causes. Tuition assistance is offered to employees and their children.

Cons

Excessive outsourcing. If the company can find a way to outsource your position to save money, it will. For many positions, compensation is below or barely in the low end of the range specified by HR.

Pros

Work Life Balance is the best reason to work at Western Union. Mangement understands need for personal time as long as it does not intefere with work obligations.

Cons

Strategy can be unclear at times, and at times IT support for Business Initiatives is difficult to find. Focus seems to shift often between priorities.
