The attrition within the PM and technical staff ranks makes it difficult to confidently sell work. There is little confidence in mid to upper management from the rank and file. As sales forecasts dwindle, staffing cutbacks (plus resignations) continue to keep costs in line with reduced revenue. There is more and more empty office and cube space in offices that were once buzzing. Private company stock value decreases drastically every quarter and there is no ability for older employees to cash out of their 401K company stock, which was supposed to happen after a certain age. Kind of like Enron. New Senior Management came on with positive platitudes and "key new management hires", but now effective communication has ceased. Feels like it's only a matter of time before the ship goes under.
