Pros
The staff is what makes White plains Hospital hands down. I've never worked with nicer people. The staff for the most part is very genuine and helpful and the compassion and care given to the patients by the staff is unmatched. In all of the hospitals I've worked for White Plains hospital has the most comfortable work environment I've been in.
Cons
Its taking a very corporate and impersonal turn when it comes to the relationship between the staff and the patient. Unfortunately the Employee experiences the brunt of this reality. The model is exceptional everyday, but when you make exceptional care the new norm, it creates a very real ceiling for the growth of the employee in terms of your annual increase. A good raise is virtually impossible to earn. There is a lot required to increase your pay by very little. Also if you happen to be ancillary staff your not treated as well. This Hospital is a huge advocate for education which is fantastic, however its emphasis in education is largely for that of the nurse. There is an energy and a treatment that you receive if you are in certain roles viewed as "minimal." Management not being present and involved for Employees.
