Pros

• Great employee discount, 40% • I love being able to genuinely help people who need style or outfit advice

Cons

• This varies from store to store obviously, but the girls at my location are very cliquey. I have yet to bond with any of the girls. I try to make conversation but they don't bother talking to anyone outside of their little circles. I thought I would be close with my co-workers considering they're all around 18-24 years old but apparently not. I don't bother trying with those girls anymore! Too catty. • Scheduling is a mess. Everyone is almost always unhappy with their schedule, which creates tons of call offs and shift switching. Your schedule will change dramatically every single week, hours too. Not ideal for someone who likes a little routine in their life. • You are supposed to treat everyone like thieves when they enter the store. It's called "excellent customer service", but it's more like "hover over everyone and ask if they need help 50 million times". It's annoying for a sales associate because you can tell customers get agitated with your persistence. My store specifically is a huge target for theft, which makes the job less fun when you have that in the back of your mind. • Dress code is so strict! Invest in some COMFORTABLE, yet stylish shoes. No gym shoes at all or sandals "resembling flip flops" (sandals that cut in between your big toe and second toe). Can only wear flats, gladiator sandals or boots. • All 4 "managers" (3 assistant, 1 main) are completely different when it comes to running the store. Some are lazier than others, so the employees know how to get away with stuff with certain managers, and that should never be the case! • You are expected to be the customers slave. Anything they want/need, you are responsible, even if it means running to get 20 pairs of shoes or grabbing 20 different sizes for the customer. Yes, I understand this is retail but I don't get paid enough to deal with customers barking orders at me :( • MINIMUM WAGE. Need I say more? I think to myself every day, "I don't get paid enough for this..."

Pros

40% discount was awesome They usually work with you if you have a schedule conflict Most of the clothes are on hangers which I think is easier to keep organized than folding No company credit card to sell (I didn't like this about other companies I had applied to) Good first retail job

Cons

Definitely a focus on loss prevention, but understandably so because the sensors wouldn't work (also depended on the manager on how tedious they were about it) Made us do sensor checks anyway Didn't get that many hours at all

Pros

Good Discount, 40% so comparable to other retailers.

Cons

Area Management/District Management is extremely unprofessional. Gold Star program is awful and needs to be updated.
