Pros

Great work environment if you keep your nose to the ground.

Cons

High demands without little pay increase, low benefit packages and changes continuously, to many changes to bonus structure and pay, a lot of turn around (ie they do most of their firing when you go on vacation).

Pros

If you enjoy customer service, are tech savy, enjoy working with smartphones, and are able to troubleshoot equipment problems - this could be a good position for you if you can sell.

Cons

Retail hours - working nights, weekends and holidays. Typically low hourly wages. Commissions are dependent upon many variables - they can be low or somewhat descent. It depends on the "owner" that you work for, as well as the parent company (ATI) and the carrier spiffs/incentives (Verizon). Every store is different; some pay a fair wage, and others pay quite low with commission incentives that are tough to reach. Change occurs often, and it effects your paycheck dramatically. Unless you're in a great market selling over 130 phones a month, it's difficult for owners to make any real money - therefore, your paycheck suffers. Most owners are fixated on hitting their numbers as a store, and are not concerned with you making a huge commission. There is competition from every angle; and as a dealer - you don't have a lot of incentives to beat the corporate stores. I could write 3 pages about the negatives; but I will try to shorten it. Know this: if the owner is a jerk, walk away; if the store is in a slow market, walk away; if they don't show you the "comp plan", walk away; and if they tell you "you could" make a lot of money, walk away! Too many owners don't know what they're doing, and assume it's an easy ride. They will blame their salespeople for all their problems instead of admitting their own failure. A typical sales rep makes around $12-14/hr with fair commissions. But don't expect health insurance or anything else...these are franchise owners, NOT big companies!! Only work for credible owners with integrity and strong business acumen. My owner had neither...very unscrupulous at times - often lying to employees, and cheating them out of pay with false promises....he was disrespected by all for his poor character and lack of honesty and ethics. He took no blame for anything, and treated his people poorly - which in turn hurt himself and his company. Know who you are working for!!! Stay away from egotistical men who "play" manager, but truly have no composure, or emotional intelligence whatsoever! Good Luck

Pros

They talk about their sales process which is basically lying to the customer about promotions and deals.

Cons

They treat employees worst than customers. Random meetings. Lie about pay and hours worked. Make you drive to locations 2 hours away for a 1 hour meeting
