Pros

The kids!! Seriously you will meet some of the funniest, smartest, and sassiest kids and they are so unbelievably worth it. Certain coworkers and management that you can tell love what they do. Some families that put their all into therapy and do everything to help further therapy and their kid (We see you & We appreciate you)

Cons

Hours/Cancellations from clients and techs at times Pay, limited raises Travel between clients at times can be a bit much and you have little to no say on who you’re transferred to location wise Caseload too high and often given work that you’re not exactly licensed to do Excessive focus on billable hours but get upset if you do too much direct time with kids who don’t have any staff Techs that last anywhere from 1 wk to 3 months who have zero care for challenging kids and just want to babysit “easy” kids Techs that take advantage of system and just sit on their phones until upper management walk by Techs that I’ve overheard talk bad about kids they work/ed with or have observed Techs that do any/all of the above and somehow still get promoted Work life balance absolutely non-existent Seriously don’t move up if you love the kids the most in this job - you will REGRET it and miss being the person they connect with daily while also being super stressed about managing teams with barely any staff and limited staff who care at that who don’t seem to see that they are supposed to be providing this daily therapy that should be changing this kid’s life for the better
