Pros

You will get to meet and work with some very smart and hard-working people.

Cons

- There is only growth opportunity for select people and the same people get praised over and over again. The politics at this company are absurd. - Company is expanding rapidly again and little to no planning for growth happening for corporate teams to support the field. - Everything is always a fire drill and a "top priority" (which means nothing is a priority) - Continue to make poor financial decisions and has way too many high-level employees while not enough doing the actual work. - Promotions and raises are given to the favorites and those that are on certain teams. No COL raises, employees doing 2-3 people's worth of work, 401k match was removed. - Constantly changing focuses so projects you put work into one week, are obsolete the next. Feeling like you are spinning your wheels at all times. - No leadership training given, and those in leadership roles are inexperienced and should not be at the level they are at.

Pros

Maybe you possibly get to eat something moderately tasty for free.

Cons

The goal post is constantly moving mid-game. No balance between life and work, you will go home and Most of the software / internal tech is outsourced to China. Loads of harassment claims get swept under the rug. The behaviors of those at the Director level of above are self-aggrandizing and toxic. Loads of nepotism and favoritism. Mostly none of them are as creative as they claim and they typically draw ideas from templates or how they did things previously in past jobs. The company is slowly chipping away at crucial employee benefits and regularly demotes.

Pros

Direct managers are kind and fairly understanding. If you are an under performer who can spin a good yard you will do well here. Team was dynamic and diverse which was nice.

Cons

Hard work is not recognized or valued by the team or management. Benefits are expensive and got even more expensive this year. Company offers very modest equity but times layoffs so that the equity will not vest intentionally. When you ask them to vest it upon lay off they will not (even in instances where the equity was going to vest the same month). Company will lump most employees under a secondary company to not give them the same treatment and benefits (delivery by wonder, and beverage team were examples). Company claims to be nimble but the only thing they are nimble about is changing directions and laying people off. You can tell the higher ups have no interest or care in for their employees. This CEO helped set up Walmart and from how they pay and treat their employees it shows.
