Pros

Honestly, the product is great and has fabulous potential. Customers love it. The pay is good along with the benefits. Decent worklife balance too. I see a strong future for the company but...there is a but.

Cons

Poor management decision making. People get promoted to management based on tenure in the company and not on skill and capability to do the actual job. It is truly a poor workplace unlike anything I have ever experienced. Micromanagement is rampant by managers who are new to the job and have had zero ( I mean ZERO!) training! They know who they are too. Business model is poor. Too many free features to the point where the majority of customers can actually use the product for free and never plan to spend any money at all....These same customers consume SOOO much internal resources at no expense to the customer but at a heavy cost to internal developers and support teams. Protect your company's time! I would avoid this company at the moment if you value your mental health. A few people have went out on leave and never returned. Opting for other roles after being burnt out!

Pros

The team at WorkOS are so talented. It's really inspiring to work with people who are passionate about their craft. Everyone is genuinely helpful, humble and supportive of one another. The Onsite meet-ups every six months really help to build connections, so even though we work remotely we have a great bond.

Cons

Being completely remote isn't for everyone, but there are plenty of opportunities to connect with the team.

Pros

- Lots of autonomy and ownership, so you really see the impact of your work - Design is expected to lead and shape products while also contributing to the design system - Team is extremely talented, but also humble and collaborative, which is rare to see - Remote-first, with a couple of on-sites each year. Good work/life balance

Cons

- Deep product space with a lot to learn, rewarding if you like thinking through more complex problems - Roadmap shifts quickly with customer needs, makes it fast paced and priorities that often change - Lots of variety and context switching, not for someone that’s looking for a narrowly defined role
