Pros
The organization and its staff are generally mission-driven to help the poor (and particularly children) to live sustainably improved lives. Most staff are also genuine in their Christian faith, loving and kind -- good staff morale.
Cons
Since 2010 or so, World Vision has had to struggle more with fund-raising, which has led to a much more corporate outlook of leadership, understandably concerned about increasing revenue, cutting costs and demonstrating impact. Healthy in many ways, but the atmosphere has also become more tense and restructuring more frequent, with a gradual reorientation (and slight decrease) in overall staffing levels, and a decreased ability to offer support in improving program quality.
