Pros

I love what I do. The evidence that what I do on a daily basis makes a direct impact to children in the field is incredibly satisfying. The company cares about me, they care about me working in a position that is best for me and best for the organization. The community development model is spot on. Nobody around the world does this better than World Vision.

Cons

We are so glad that you find your work to be satisfying and inspiring! We commend your desire to have tools that increase your efficiency and yet, as a nonprofit ministry, this can be a challenging balance. It is our desire to strategically invest in future capabilities that allow us to serve even more of the world’s poor, while remaining critically focused on the work that we do.

Pros

A nice place for spiritual growth and meet kind, nice people. A great place to serve left alone children

Cons

Managers at middle level are hard to deal with and training and other resources are not allocated fairly among team members. Lack of accountability and visibility. Waste of time with unnecessary meetings and "Devotion".

Hello, and thank you so much for taking the time to review World Vision. We are so glad that you are as excited as we are about serving children around the world. World Vision strives to make our Christian faith the foundation for all that we do, and because of this we feel that it is important for employees to have time together in things like devotions, prayer, and chapel. We hope to live as followers of Christ by being active, visible bearers of God’s love, and we feel that this best starts in prayer and devotion with each other. Thank you again for your feedback!

Pros

World Vision USA offers an incredibly rewarding mission-driven environment. The work directly contributes to helping vulnerable communities around the world, and that sense of purpose is deeply fulfilling. I had the opportunity to lead impactful programs, collaborate with global partners, and develop professionally. Leadership at the organizational level is inspiring and committed to transformational development and humanitarian response.

Cons

As with many large organizations, cross-team collaboration and communication can vary depending on department, hence flexibility is crucial to success. I don't really have any cons. It was a positive work experience with great people.

Thank you for sharing what makes serving at World Vision so meaningful. We’re grateful that you found our mission-driven environment rewarding and that you had opportunities to lead, collaborate globally, and grow professionally. Your insight on cross-team collaboration and communication is helpful as well. As you shared, flexibility is key, and we’re continuing to invest in leadership development and cross-departmental alignment so that every part of our ministry can work together even more effectively. Your encouragement means a great deal to us as we remain committed to following Christ’s call to serve the most vulnerable. Ruth Iswariah  Director, People and Culture, Ministry Enablement
