Pros

Great people and working environment. Work with some smart people that enjoy technology and want to make an impact. Direct management cares about your success and you as a person, very positive and engaging. The company is successful and the benefits are fantastic. I feel like I can maintain a healthy work life balance here. Technology stacks are modern and we are encouraged to try new things and new ways of thinking. You can make time to try new things.

Cons

Working from home got stepped down from what it once was which feels like we arent trusted if we can't be seen. For a company that invests heavily in video and communication we seem to not embrace a remote or global workforce. I've stopped recommending working in IT or at least IT Operations to any friends or peers as the culture continues to decline steadily over the past few years. The last VP made some poor hiring decisions for his team of directors and let the problems fester out there and continue to be troublesome. It is not terribly impactful if you avoid interaction but your leadership chain should help you succeed and not complain, criticize, and tear down. It can be hard to feel like what you do matters if your director or vp doesn't seem to care.

Thank you. I'm not sure why working from home became more limited or if it has only been limited in a particular department within IT. Typically, the ability to work from home depends somewhat on the nature of your responsibilities and the impact it will have on others. I will share this and thank you again.

Pros

They offer a good work life balance with opportunities to work from home and plenty of vacation days as well as strong benefits.

Cons

Advancing in this company is mostly about who you know. The never ending beating of the "great place to work" drum can grow tiresome, especially when your experience isn't the same. Pay is weak.

Pros

-Good work life balance. You'll be expected to put in honest work and do a good job, but working late and on weekends wasn't common. -Average health benefits

Cons

-Pay isn't very competitive -Nepotism nepotism nepotism. Hiring decision are based on who you grew up with, not your qualifications. -There aren't great career advancement paths. It was easier to leave the company to advance my career. -Middle Management isn't well trained on employee development -Large internal push to get on Fortune and Glassdoor Best Places to Work. I don't feel that their rankings accurately reflect what it's like to work there.

Thanks for the feedback and I'm sorry you left. I may be biased but I think our health benefits are among the best that any employers offer. We do hire a large number of employee referrals but this only helps someone get hired, it doesn't keep them hired. Everyone must perform to be successful. We are very honored to receive acknowledgment on being a great place to work and we do celebrate this. It's our employees who make this possible. Thanks again and good luck.
