Pros

Not a lot. Customers are nice and it's good to be able to interact with people excited about their purchase

Cons

Dreadful work environment. A very bullying culture and poor support, communication and management. Got through 11 managers in a year and almost double that of designers in the showroom. Training is poor. Company purely interested in sales no care for your customers. A lot of management are ex phones 4 U and are trying to base their work methods on that failed basis.

Pros

if you are willing to work more than 60 hours a week you can earn very well. The top earners earn over £100k. It's a secure job which might be considered better than being a commission only rep. More suitable for juniors who don't mind the mental kicking that they get every day. They will take on anyone and their turnover is high so as long as you can speak English to any degree you will get a jo.

Cons

Recently brought in the old phones 4 U staff which just doesn't work for kitchens. Don't get me wrong, Wren sell a serious amount of kitchens but the service is appalling and sales people spend half their time dealing with problems. They have a ridiculous compliance system which means that there is a lot of pressure to do paperwork within time frames that are not realistic so often it is wrong. The pressure is constant and unnecessary. You will be expected to pick up 10 leads a week based on 40% conversion rate but if your conversion rate is 85% as mine is you just don't have the time. They are unable to treat anyone as an individual. The managers tread on eggshells all the time as the bullying mentally pours down from head office.

Pros

- In some stores the people who work there are supporting and nice to work with.

Cons

- Don't be fooled by the reviews, Wren ask new starters to write a review within their first week, improving the numbers. - Commission can be good, however there are high margins meaning you won't see any commission within the first few months. Commission is also taken off you, if you or your colleagues make any sort of mistake on your design. - E-contract process makes it difficult to stay opted in for 48 hours Work Directory leaving you vulnerable to working unadvised long hours over the Christmas period. - Favouritism occurs within the showroom environment making it very toxic. I experienced specific designers getting new contracts being made up for them with benefits, while the remaining showroom had to stick with the company rules. - No work life balance. Management and the CEO do not acknowledge the need for this. Restricted periods where you can book holiday, all bank holidays worked, no weekends allowed off. - HR are incompetent. My annual leave was calculated wrong, suggesting I had taken more days than I had. This became a huge issue when I wanted to leave and it took HR about a month to resolve. I was also locked out from the in-house app quickly after leaving meaning I wasn't able to access my final payslip.
