Pros

Decent macbook. Can install favourite tooling to do the job. Nice offices if you like large open plan work spaces. Good food at lunch. Nice pond outside to walk around. Hybrid working offered. Some really nice people. Enterprise accounts with platform providers and great support from them is offered.

Cons

The workforce here was very young but nonetheless impressive but seemed to lack some of the experience and expertise required for a company trying to adopt a DevOps mindset. After a week's induction I was expected to "get on with it" and offered little support from the team and you could forget speaking to your line manager or anyone more senior. As mentioned there is no progression and pay is pitifully low for the sector. I was lied to about the bonus offered by HR as it was a quarter of what was offered. I regret leaving my old job to work here as processes and procedures were just not followed as stringently as they should be. My job title changed once I started which I didn't mind but was very odd. I couldn't wait to get out once I'd started. I also felt that they benefited staff who worked from the office and were nearer. No mention of celebrating inclusion and diversity either.

Pros

There are no pros. Avoid Wren Kitchens if you only can. Company Value: P R I D E PASSIONATE - About making money no matter the cost, especially for employees RESPONSIBLE - For The Company money not for the employees and the customers INTEGRITY - in sharing lies and false promises to the employees and customers DETERMINED - in developing systems how to exploit employees EXCELLENCE - in hiding Company real face behind the empty slogans and marketing lies

Cons

-Wren Kitchens broke the law and employees' rights by extending working hours over your contracted hours without paying for it -toxic atmosphere -no work-life balance whatsoever -no management support -training program is a joke you can technically just count on yourself -management makes the promises but they never gonna keep them once you sign the contract -Absurd Bonuses Scheme designed to cheat on their employees and not pay you a bonus whatsoever -keeping their employees constantly on the leash -Your measurements appointments are constantly dispatched out of your working hours -Company Claim that you are based in the Showroom just to justify that your commuting time should be unpaid, in reality, you are rarely commuting to the Showroom but you are going straight to the customer's house using your own time without getting paid for it. -Ridiculous Probation period (1-2 years) to keep you constantly uncertain about your job, basically company can fire you in your first year immediately no matter how good you are -Wren Kitchens developed the whole system to exploit their employees for free

Pros

* free gym * some staff are great to work with

Cons

Working for Wren will end your career before it's even begun. Expect: * to be paid less than the going rate * to get criticised and bad mouthed by your manager to your team mates behind your back * to work a minimum of 40 hours and get funny looks and comments by your manager if you leave on time * a poor work to personal life ratio * your manager to not have had any managerial training * your manager to be a narcissist * not to be able to take half day holidays (even though the systems lets you) * to be micro managed * not to be supported * to only getting somewhere if you are a 'teachers pet' * to be told that good things are coming soon but no date is ever given so you are effectively strung along forevermore * to be doing tasks well above your pay grade and job description * to become stressed and have the life sucked out of you * to work for a manager that will make someone (that shouldn't be a manager as per their job role and that is of the same level as you) "manage" you and set your targets/career path who don't have any real experience themselves in the field you are working in and make really poor decisions based on how jealous they are of your progress * to be nothing but a number and treated as such
