Pros

I work in the South so my review will relate to this area. I have been in retail for 15 years and have seen all types of leaders. I can honestly say the Divisional Head and our Regional Manager are two of the best leaders I have worked with. They do push you hard and always ask for more...but it is always done with support and guidance. The work can be tough when the sales done come...but we have always been supported to get ourselves out of it and back on track.

Cons

As with all sales, pressure is on to perform and you will need to go the extra mile to really succeed to full potential, It doesn't happen overnight or by accident. However nothing that I would consider too much. The target is always achievable if you work for it.

Pros

Working in retail my whole life i can honestly say this is a great company with good working hours comparatively. The Regional has supported me since my interview and i am now on a training program for my own store. The Job is competitive but very rewarding. As a manager i have total freedom to run my team and drive the sales in store. Support comes from regular contact from the regional and divisional manager. Constant yearly investment in the showrooms makes the product easy to sell

Cons

Winter working hours are long from January on-wards, although this does reflect the kitchen market The pension scheme has a poor input from employer. There is no saving scheme

Pros

Pay can be great and you meet some great people, you get what you put in and that's the attitude you need. Strive for as much as possible and then make your exit.

Cons

This job is sales. Hard tough sales, the company don't care about loyal members of staff or how you are treated, all they care about is a number being hit Day to day. That's ok, but understand that this company are ruthless and use the termination of contract without a reason, to avoid any tribunal efforts inside the first 18 months. They will sack you off when they want, seen it done to many of my colleagues and friends I can go On and say long hours, long days etc, but this is Sales and you get what you put in and unfortunately your absolute best at all times is a minimum expectation from this company. Earn your money and get out. This is not a career. MOST OF THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM EMPLOYESS ASKED TO WRITE A REVEIEW, FAKE COMMENTS AND FAKE REVIEWS, NOT ALL OF THEM BUT MOST.
