Pros
There are very few of these. The environment is terrible, management is too busy to acctually manage and does a great deal of grunt work. Vacations are denied consistently. Additionally, management makes a habit of calling employees at home to berate them for making mistakes. A suppose a pro would be I learned management here is terrible and HR is worse.
Cons
They fire people on FMLA, bait people into switching job statuses and then fail To provide insurance and other perks, they routinely deny vacation benefits to concierge individuals instead making them call in and accumulate points. They encourage individuals to work off the clock and steal tips (there’s a 2000.00 bottle of alcohol that was tipped to a concierge in the chef’s office that was stolen from the concierge. He wasn’t provided compensation.). Turn over is also incredibly high. Oh and also the feedback that managers do provide is often contradictory.
