Not The Same Company I Joinned

Pros

Remote opportunities, day to day changes (not monotonous)

Cons

Poor compensation Nepotism Low advancement rate Fraternity atmosphere Sales Department are the only heroes, everyone else can kick rocks Poor management In recent months, I've realised that the Xactly of today is not the same company I joined and loved several years ago. when people would ask, " What do you love about your job ?" it was easy to respond: the people, the culture, the challenges that keep me on the top of my toes, the swag that would randomly show up in the mail.... Times are very different now - completely the opposite. After layoffs, the CEO gave a company-wide All Hands that shaved manic emotional shifts from "sadness" to annoyance as remaining employees grappled with the situation they were in: the same amount of work, with fewer employees to complete it. Meanwhile, Sales hasn't been able to hit their numbers in a LONG time, but they're still getting treated to company trips, President's Club, and awards. Ho w is that suppose to make the rest of the company feel? Can we all do a poorjob and still get rewarded? Seems like we're all doing our jobs ( plus the work of former coworkers), achieving our objectives, but not getting anything more than our regular paychecks. That's not to say we should be getting extra, but under performers shouldn't be given more over others. We're not stupid - we see it happening and it creates resentment and more turnover. A lot of good people are gone from the company and people are reaching burnout and frustration. We have been told we should "feel lucky we have a job", which only add more to my point and fuel to the fire. Not to mention: it's not true. Because, we are so lean right now that with each departure, it's a significant knowledge loss that no one is ready to cover. If you're not one of the "bros", this place probably isn't for you.

Pros

1st Week they seem like this happy, exciting company you'll be with for the rest of your career... you'll have fun with the busy work and planning of your schedule.

Cons

- 60-70 hour work weeks are typical - Clients in different regions meaning you are in standups with you Australian team when you're about ready to sign off for the day (be ready for 7pm slack messages and Google Meets invites, I'm actually traumatized of the notification sound lol) -juggling 7-10 projects at one time while being on pointless standups that don't actually allow you get work done - no assistance from management when you tell them your overworked -CEO is brainless and could careless about employees being SEVERLY overworked. -
