The Yale health center at Yale University use to be the best place to work when it was located on Hillhouse Ave. I use to love going to work! Since the Yale health center moved to Lock Street, It is no longer a happy, friendly, family, comfortable, safe atmosphere. The morale is at an all time low. It is not even about the patients anymore, although that is what they would love for you to believe. Yale Health in my opinion is now a corporate facility that is all about the numbers, the higher ups on the top floor, the bogus repetitive managers meetings and their nugatory research groups, the frivolous press Ganey reports, and the over populated nurses and managers that get paid a hefty amount of money for basically fudgeling at work while passing the majority of their work along to the over worked and under paid union employees, which they are trying to phase them out in an attempt to get rid of the union which is a joke anyway. There are some atrocious managers that do not even have a clue on how to manage a department and sadly treat a certain type of employees horrible, but the employees cannot say anything because if they do they will find a way to get rid of you. I want to make this clear. All of Yale University is not bad. Yale University has a vast array of career opportunities. This review is only pertaining to Yale Health Center.
